Help your Digestion
Here's a suggestion: first thing in the morning, try drinking a cup of hot water with freshly squeezed lemon juice to help stimulate your digestion. This can help to improve the transit of food through your gut. Thus reducing toxins held within the body.
Aim to drink at least 7 more glasses of water during the day because dehydration reduces the amount of calories you burn and your body struggles to absorb the nutrients.
Frustrated about not shedding a few pounds?
Why not try this simple exercise routine: If you exercise 3 times a day for 10 minutes to raise your heart beat (ie. walking up and down stairs, slow jogging, fast walking or skipping) this will increase your metabolism for up to 3 hours on each occasion.
This will raise your metabolic rate enough for your body to burn more calories. As a suggestion, exercise for 10 minues before work, 10 minutes at lunchtime and 10 minutes in the evening. Exercise increases muscle tone which then makes burning off calories much easier.
As we get older, muscle is replaced by fat which uses less calories in your body. So every pound of muscle burns an extra 50 calories a day. After 30 our body metabolism slows down by 2% each decade. So staying active through small amounts of regular exercise can to prevent middle-age spread!
